Innovative Teaching Strategies Required in Business Education for Sustainable Development

The advancement of technology in the world has brought about constant changes in innovative teaching strategies. For business education to achieve its goal of sustainable development due to global technological revolution, the use of digital and ICT based tools strategies in teaching and learning must be adopted. This study therefore examines theinnovative teaching strategies required in business education for sustainable development. The study also examines the concept of business education, concept of innovative teaching strategies, concept of sustainable development, the need for adoption of innovative teaching strategies in business education, challenges to effective utilization of these innovative strategies in business education as well as the way out of the challenges. It was suggested among others that business educators should adopt innovative strategies in teaching business education programme instructions to equip students with the necessary skills required in the present day business world. Also, educational institutions should regularly organize relevant training for business educators to constantly update their knowledge and skills, Government should also increase grants given to educational institutions to enable them provide needed ICT technologies and other infrastructural facilities for effective training of students.
