Abstract

Abstract

Over decades, the concept of inculturation theology has been a majortheological discourse in the African continent and beyond. Regardless ofDenomination, one major challenge Christians in Africa and Churchesin Africa are facing that has limited the penetration of the Gospel ofChrist is the fact that a theology developed exclusively from theperspective of Western industrialized society will inevitably be a warpedversion of Christianity. In the line of thought of this paper, inculturationis the emergence of many thoughts occasioned by divergent lifestyles. Therefore, the incarnation of Christian life and of Christian message, the Gospel of Christ in a particular cultural context, in such a way thatthis experience not only finds expression through elements proper tothe culture in question but becomes a principle that animates, directsand unifies the culture, transforming it and making it so as to bring abouta new creation.
