Abstract

Summary

Leadership is pivotal in addressing societal challenges, particularlyin regions grappling with socio-economic issues. Innovativeleadership, characterized by creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving capabilities, has emerged as a key driver of transformativechange. In the Nigerian context, where systemic challenges such asunemployment, corruption, and socio-political complexities persist,innovative leadership can bridge divides, foster collaboration, andinspire sustainable growth. Through a qualitative approach, thestudy clarifies the concepts of innovative leadership and positivechange, examining the Nigerian leadership challenge and exploringthe philosophy, idiosyncrasies and theories, as well as practicalapproaches to driving positive change. This study emphasizes theimportance of forward-thinking strategies that address immediateproblems while laying the foundation for long-term success. Theresearch highlights how innovative leadership can empowercommunities, embrace digital transformation, and ensure equitableresource distribution. It also explores the adaptability and visionarymindset required for leaders to navigate complexity in a rapidlychanging global landscape; this study underscores thetransformative potential of innovative leadership in fosteringprogress and inclusivity for future generations.
