Abstract

Abstract
This paper explains the contents and structure of education system as it is operated in the 
country today. Similarly, it analyses the conception and practices of educational supervision 
in school system as well as tertiary level of education with specific interest in the internal and 
external forms of supervision in the country as a whole system. The national policy call for 
application of modern managerial techniques to educational endeavors therefore guided the 
exercise to apply the method of participant observation in job analysis technique to evolve the 
innovation in the paper. This is job analysis innovation for academic heads of departments in 
polytechnic. The recommendations therefore, are that the stake holders should ensure that
the innovation is adequately utilized.
